Kandinsky’s Haus

Inspired by a questionnaire Kandinsky circulated during his time at the Bauhaus, I created an alphabet comprising solely of units of circles, squares and triangles. The questionnaire asked people to chose the primary colour that best suits each of these three shapes. The vast majority of participants chose red for square, blue for circle and yellow for triangle.

The challenge with making my font was that the circles, squares and triangle units may not be scaled up or down. The shapes may overlap, in which case there is a negation of the shape with dotted outline and white opaque fill.
